Description

“Peptipak” (reviews below) is an antiulcer drug that has a detrimental effect on the Helicobacter pylori bacterium, since the drug contains omeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor). It inhibits the secretion of hydrochloric acid, reduces the level of stimulated and basal secretion, and creates special conditions for the death of bacteria in the stomach.

The drug works for 24 hours after administration. The composition of Peptipak (the instructions and reviews confirm this) includes antibiotics - clarithromycin and amoxicillin. They are active against anaerobic, aerobic, gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. The medicine further minimizes relapses of duodenal and gastric ulcers.

Storage

The drug Peptipak must be stored in a dark room, the temperature in which will not exceed 20 degrees. In addition, the place should be fairly cool and dark. Small children should not have access to this medicine under any circumstances.

If all recommendations are followed, the drug can be used for two years. An expired product is not allowed for further use, because such a medicine will not have a positive effect on the affected organism.

Analogs

Reviews of Peptipak say that there are analogues. They are similar in indications for use and pharmacological action. In the case of Peptipak this is:

  • "Ranitidine";
  • "Pepsan";
  • "Gaviscon";
  • "Kvamatel";
  • “Abisib;
  • "Famotidine";
  • "Betalatinol";
  • “Vis-nol;
  • "Proxium";
  • "Pantasan";
  • "Lim zer";
  • "Vicair";
  • "Gastro-norm";
  • "Diaprazole";
  • "Ulsepan" and many others.

For example, Ranitidine is also an antiulcer drug that acts on specific receptors in the stomach and reduces the production of gastric juice. Its peculiarity is that it is as safe as possible, and therefore enjoys the trust of patients. "Ranitidine", despite the same indications for use, is strikingly different from other known drugs in the principle of its action. The medicine acts on histamine receptors, which are located in the cells of the gastric mucosa. That is, Ranitidine reduces acidity, which leads to regeneration of organ tissue. The duration of the drug's effect is twelve hours. Its specificity is that it is one of the vital medicines. The Peptipak analogue is used for ulcers caused by stress factors, peptic ulcers; stomach bleeding; with the release of gastric juice; diseases of the duodenum and stomach; chronic dyspepsia. Ranitidine is available in tablet form. The advantage is that it has a minimum of contraindications and side effects.

"Vicair" is a lesser-known analogue of "Peptipak", but cheap. This is a combination medicine. It has laxative, astringent, antacid, and antiseptic properties. Available in tablet form. The main advantage is that it contains natural ingredients (calamus rhizomes and buckthorn bark). The main indications for use are hyperacid gastritis, which is accompanied by constipation; ulcer of the stomach and duodenum. It is not recommended to take Vikair for gastritis, appendicitis, enterocolitis, chronic renal failure, or hypersensitivity to components. Adverse reactions include diarrhea and allergies.

Peptipak has quite a few inexpensive and safe analogues. But if the doctor prescribed this particular remedy, then the transition to a similar one should be carried out with the permission of a specialist. You cannot prescribe your own dosage.

Side effects and contraindications

According to reviews of Peptipak, they are not recommended for treatment in patients who have problems with the liver and kidneys; patients with active ulcers. Contraindications include high sensitivity to active substances and auxiliary components; pregnancy and breastfeeding. The simultaneous use of Peptipak with other medications should also be avoided. This is stated in detail in the instructions for the drug.

This medicine has many side effects.

Here are some of them:

  • anaphylactic shock;
  • Quincke's edema;
  • various mental disorders;
  • headache;
  • drowsiness;
  • stomach ache;
  • constipation;
  • nausea;
  • dry mouth;
  • heartburn;
  • malaise;
  • tachycardia, arrhythmias.

If such symptoms appear, the drug should be stopped.
