How to choose headache pills
When choosing tablets for headaches, you need to be guided by the most likely cause of the unpleasant symptom. Among all the groups that are used for headaches, the following can be distinguished:
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (often shortened to NSAIDs). They help relieve pain from colds, flu, various inflammatory processes, somatic diseases, and tension headaches. They can partially help with migraines.
Antispasmodics are a group of drugs that relax smooth muscles, including those in the walls of blood vessels. They will help with headaches associated with pressure, muscle pain, and pain with fatigue.
Analgesics are drugs that suppress the perception of pain from various receptors located in organs and tissues. Basically, they contain metamizole sodium or the well-known Analgin, which has a lot of side effects and contraindications for use. These funds should be used only in case of emergency, when there are no pharmacies nearby and there is no choice of safer drugs.
